MUSIC- BOX PHATFIBER SAMPLES - CHIP OR DALE?

A sassy Jay selecting some sunflower seeds from the railing.

This could be Chip or is it Dale? Either way, they are cute little devil's. The bird's aren't too happy about him stealing their seed and tell him so.

I had fun carding lots of wool and sparkle yesterday. I will divide them into sample size for the December - Phatfiber Box, today. The theme this month is the Music Box. I chose "I'll be Home for Christmas" by Rascal Flatt's. Fitting for December and the time of year. The song and video bring back many memories of trips back home for the Holidays. Kid's bundled up, suitcases packed, presents loaded and on the way we would go.

A week back home over the Holiday's.

Lot's of Memories.

I carded enough for the December-Phatfiber box samples, the shop, and some for me to spin.

IS IT FALL..... YET?

It's been a long hot one, that's for sure.

Last big weekend of the summer. Son and granddaughter bringing her in for a landing. What's funny about that one is that she is terrified of her hot-wheel jeep, but loves to rip around on the wave-runner.

One of my summer visitors.

This beauty showed up and I'm not sure what type of moth this is. First time I've ever seen one of these around here.
Fall can't be far behind.

What Comes Next ?

I decided to add some POP! to the batts that I had carded and thought these samples would be perfect. I evenly distributed the three samples and carded them into the four batts . I really liked how they added a hint of color when I was spinning.

Fun With Samples

I finally had some time to play with a few samples from the April Phat Fiber Box. I decided to combine-three wonderful samples from the April Box. Wooly Hands-(Lilac- Merino), The Fox Hop-(Fexie Batt), and Infinity (merino/molair blend-New Growth ). I had carded about 60 % of Shetland in three different shades with 40 % pewter grey angora. Talk about soft....
