IS IT FALL..... YET?

It's been a long hot one, that's for sure.

Last big weekend of the summer. Son and granddaughter bringing her in for a landing. What's funny about that one is that she is terrified of her hot-wheel jeep, but loves to rip around on the wave-runner.

One of my summer visitors.

This beauty showed up and I'm not sure what type of moth this is. First time I've ever seen one of these around here.
Fall can't be far behind.

It's the Simple Things...

It's the simple things that can sometimes make your day. I wound the latest spindle spun yarn into a cake to add to my Ten Stitch Blanket. Makes me smile just looking at all that bright colorful yarn.

It's Getting Bigger!

Yarn is set and ready to go. Just have to wind it into a cake and start knitting.

Ready to go. I have all the fixins for the blanket, in the basket to knit or spin. All depends on my whim of the moment.

Getting bigger !

Spindle Spun for Ten Stitch Blanket

Just finishing up another skein of spindle spun yarn for the Ten Stitch Blanket. Lots of great color combo's to start knitting the next row. Just grabbing a few minutes here and there to spin a little and before you know it, you have another spindle full to ply.

The family finished up their meal of creeping jenny and off to the lake they went!

Funky Chunky's and Goosies

Funky Chunky's - Flower Power, my contribution to the May Phat Fiber Box. Chock full of texture and exploding with color. I had alot of fun carding these chunky batts up. I plan to save a few batts for myself to spin.

The Goosies are back and busy guarding their babies while they eat some of the creeping jenny down by my shoreline.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone!

It really turned out to be a bright sunny day. A little on the cool side compared to last weeks unseasonably warm weather, but still nice.

Dyed Easter eggs.

Found a double yoke in the breakfast eggs. Maybe a sign of good luck.

The pussy willows are blooming and it won't be long til we will be cutting grass again.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice holiday weekend!
